October puts mental health front and center. World Mental Health Day (October 10) isn’t just a date—it’s a moment to speak up, reduce stigma, and center well-being for everyone. And all month long, National Depression & Mental Health Screening Month reminds us to notice the signs, get screened, and help others do the same. At EveryMind, we’re meeting the moment with bilingual education, community partnerships, and 24/7 support through our 988 Call Center—free and confidential, whether you’re in crisis or simply need someone to listen.
How you can show up this month
Share this message and start a conversation at home, at work, or at school
Follow EveryMind for practical tools, tips, and local resources
Check in with yourself and someone you care about—today, not “someday”
Repost content on Instagram to help someone feel less alone
If screening feels right, take that step and encourage a friend to join you

¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana! At EveryMind, we celebrate the people, languages, and traditions that shape our community. Nearly 1 in 5 Hispanic adults in the U.S. experience mental health conditions, yet only about a third receive care (NAMI). We’re changing that—showing up with bilingual support, culturally attuned education, and services delivered by staff who speak Spanish. Juntos, we’re making it easier to ask for help, find answers, and feel seen.

Earlier this month, our staff, board, friends, and family came together at Lone Oak’s nonprofit night to support EveryMind. We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us and to Lone Oak for hosting. The evening was a wonderful reminder of the power of community and how it strengthens the work we do every day in support of mental health.
