Happy Summer, Valued Partner!

This July, EveryMind is recognizing the unique mental health needs and experiences of communities that often face more obstacles when it comes to care.

Mental Health Awareness Month for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) is a time to reflect, learn, and support meaningful access to care for all. While mental health affects everyone, not all communities have the same opportunities to get the support they need.

Recent data from KFF (2022) shows that among adults experiencing any mental health condition, only 40% of Hispanic and 38% of Black adults received mental health services in the past year—compared to 56% of White adults (kff.org). Financial hurdles, cultural stigma, language access, and a shortage of culturally responsive providers often play a role.

At EveryMind, we believe mental wellness should be available to everyone—no matter where they live, what language they speak, or how they identify. This month, we’re highlighting the importance of listening, connection, and support that reflects the needs of all communities.

Follow us on social media for resources, upcoming events, and ways you can be part of the effort to ensure mental health care reaches more people, more effectively.
